About J & I Architects

J & I Architects is a multi-disciplinary design studio in Kochi, founded by Architect Joseph John. Jose took his B.Arch. from Manipal University and Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, after which he trained and worked under the renowned architect Charles W. Moore in the U.S.A. With his wife Architect Iby Sara John, he established J & I Architects in 1991. In his spare time, Jose is absorbed in his passion for painting.

J&I Architects

We provide professional services in Architectural Design, Master Planning and Interior Design. Our project portfolio is extensive and diverse, including schools, hotels, resorts, corporate offices, commercial buildings, IT parks, amusement parks, apartments and private residences.

We have always tried to create buildings which meet the highest standards of design, function and user-friendliness. We hope that we have succeeded in what we constantly try to inspire – delight and satisfaction in the users. One of our proudest moments was winning the international competition for the design of the British School in Colombo, Sri Lanka. We were even happier when the building was completed and everyone liked it.

A highlight of our practice has been doing the design of the Wonderla Amusement Parks in Kochi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The fun-and-frolic nature of the briefs allowed us full play in producing playful, inventive and unique design solutions. We are proud of the work that we have done so far, and believe that we should always strive to achieve architectural excellence.
